BURA (Biology Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship) Application Available.

The Biology Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program is now open! Applications accepted January 21 - January 26, 2014.

BURA provides a central web-based location to find undergraduate research positions posted by UMass faculty, postdocs, and graduate students at the start of each semester. Since its founding in the fall of 2010, BURA has matched nearly 200 undergraduates with laboratory research projects in biology.

Many laboratories start training students in their freshmen, sophomore, and junior years, so don’t delay in taking advantage of this resource!

Note: These positions are highly competitive. To increase your chances of success, write a thoughtful application that explains your interest in the specific project you are applying to and that distinguishes you from other students.

Good Luck!
