Hailey Charest, Hadley Beauregard, and Bryana Frietas of Peg Riley's Lab tied for 1st place for the Innovation Competition Seed Pitch. The company is Bac-Be-Gone! Their company is developing a bacteriocin-based wipe for use hospitals to eliminate MRSA (methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus) from surfaces. They tied for first place and were awarded $5000 in funding to help develop their product.
