Research Interests:

Bryology: Biology of Liverworts

Although my expertise is in the realm of bryology, my major effort is in teaching. I am involved with the development of suitable teaching aids to enhance the learning process. The authoring software Toolbook, with its multi-media extensions, is being used to create programs for teaching some of the more abstract concepts of the introductory biology curriculum. Animations, color graphics and digitized sound are incorporated into the design of these programs.
