FAOV3 Ð Links to Download PowerPoint Lecture
Presentations
This material is distributed free, and I make no
promises or warranties about it. You will need Microsoft PowerPoint or other
compatible software to open and view the downloaded files.
I use these presentations in my own teaching, and I
have experimented with different ways to organize them. Presentations available
here are organized by chapter in the 3rd edition of Functional Anatomy of
the Vertebrates. Just click on a
chapter with an underlined hyperlink to download its Microsoft PowerPoint
(.ppt) file to your computer. More presentations will be added during Fall 2003
until the set is complete. Most, but not all, numbered figures from the 3rd
edition of Functional Anatomy of the Vertebrates will be available from these PowerPoint
presentations. If you need a figure from the 3rd edition that you do not find
here, or need a particular figure scaled to a different resolution, then
contact Willy at: wbemis@bio.umass.edu. I will
do my best to help you but make no promises in advance.
Each slide in a presentation consists of a numbered
figure from the 3rd edition (inserted as .jpg with maximum dimensions of 1024
pixels x 768 pixels) and some text layers added in PowerPoint. This makes the
presentations easy to customize Ð and I encourage you to do this.
These images look best when viewed with an XGA
projector (i.e., one that is able to display 1024 x 768 pixels). If the figures
ÒpixelateÓ or seem to scale incorrectly when you project them, then the
resolution of the inserted .jpg image may be too high for your projector.
