2. Old Business
  A. SARIS survey of student access (Ed Cutting)
     A link is available on our Web Site.  The possibility of using this avenue to
      regularly follow the problem of student access was discussed. SARIS is
      designed as a student survey and would not provide information derived from
      other sources such as faculty.

  B. Enlistment of Experts from University Units (Joe Kunkel)
      The committee agreed to go back to their sector of the university and
       ask local 'experts' the range of computer and communication resources 
       that professionals in their field would find essential in the near future.
       
3. New Business
  A. Committee membership
     -representative from Biological Sciences Library
        In the absence of Emily Hurn we are seeking a representative from the
         UMass Library system to help us with library access issues.  
     -other exofficio members
        In order to make our discussions more concrete about access issues
         we would like to invite a member of OIT to provide insight from
         the management side of the equation.

4. Next Meeting

      The Spring meeting schedule would attempt to follow the FSC&ECC meeting 
      by one week.
