This video shows Sheila Patek as a postdoctoral fellow in 2004 talking about the mantis shrimp system. This talk was delivered in the earliest days of the development of this system - we've discovered many more intriguing things since then and even found a few errors from those early days. It captures the enthusiasm and excitement of discovery - one of the best parts of the life of a scientist.
