Murine myoblasts
Description:

C2C12 cells are a murine cell line derived from skeletal muscle. In vivo, these myoblasts, known as satellite cells, reside in muscle in a quiescent state. During muscle injury they become activated and repair muscle by fusing to damaged muscle fibers. The cells were fixed and double labeled for actin (blue) and nuclei (yellow).

Methods:

Cells were imaged with wide-field fluorescence on a Nikon TE2000 inverted microscope using a 40x oil immersion objective lens (N.A. 1.3). Images were processed with MetaVue software.
