Zebrafish embryo swimming

Olson, B.

Downes, G.

A single frame taken from a high-speed video movie of a zebrafish embryo swimming. Zebrafish embryos at 48 hours post-fertilization are small, only millimeters in length, but swim very quickly. For these experiments, a metal probe was used to gently elicit a swimming response, and the time it took the embryo to cross each of the rings was determined.
