Cruz Bay was our first exposure to St. John. This is where the ferry from St. Thomas drops you off. A commercial area has built up around this bay because most people coming to the island pass through this bay. There are lots of shops and restauraunts in this area. Our first day there we only spent about a half hour there and were then taken to VIERS by taxi. We came back on the last day of our trip to do some shopping and to just relax and enjoy ourselves. Office hours	I spent most of my time in Cruz Bay holed up on the balcony of one of the local restauraunts with a small group of our crew sipping cool drinks while overlooking the bay. It was very nice. I also spent some time looking around in the local shops. Most of what you will find is T-shirts and other touristy stuff, but if you look in some of the nooks and crannys though there are shops with some interesting stuff.
