Cytokinesis

Following chromosome movement in anaphase, an actin and myosin containing contractile ring is assembled in the equatorial cortex at a position corresponding to the location of the metaphase plate. In these sequences, the dynamic reorganization of actin is shown in LLC-Pk1 cells expressing GFP-actin. For more information see Murthy and Wadsworth, Current Biology (2005) 15:724-731.
