Development of Social Understanding

Project Description : 

We are seeking dedicated students to assist with a set of studies exploring how social cues influence cognitive and emotional function in children and young adults. These studies incorporate behavioral, emotional and neural markers of reactivity. People who can stay on for 2 semesters are preferred. Potential RAs should have good time management skills and be comfortable interacting with children.

RAs will have the opportunity to be trained in E-prime coding, SPSS statistical analysis software, procedures for running participants. Students may also be trained on collection and analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG) and event-related potentials (ERPs) for one of the studies.

Pre-requisites: Minimum GPA of 3.0, 2 semester commitment preferred
Times you must be available: Flexible. (Ability to attend lab meetings on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 is preferred)
Hours per week: 6-9 hrs/week
