Oct 18 Dr. Michele Klingbeil gives talk at Northeast Association of Parasitologists annual meeting at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, MA. The title of her presentation is "Trypanosome mitochondrial DNA polymerase IB is essential for minicricle replication."

May 23 Jeniffer Concepción, Ajanta De, Kim Maurer and Dr. Michele Klingbeil attend the 108th ASM General Meeting in Boston, MA. Jeniffer and Ajanta are both invited to give a talk. Jeniffer's talk is entitled "Mitochondrial DNA Polymerase Replication Complexes from Trypanosoma brucei." Ajanta's talk is "Chimeric Gene Silencing Strategy to Study the Multiple Mitochondrial DNA polymerases of Trypanosoma brucei." Kim presents poster "The roles of multiple mitochondrial DNA polymerases in Trypanosoma brucei kDNA replication.
 
Feb 10 Dr. Michele Klingbeil presents poster at Keystone DNA Replication and Recombination Symposia in Santa Fe, NM.
             
 
Feb 2 Dr. Michele Klingbeil presented the Thomas G. Lessie Distinguished Lectureship Award. The award is made annually by the Microbiology Graduate Student Group to a faculty member for their impact on teaching at the graduate level
