:: Microbiology Graduate Student Receives Awards ::October 2005: Almaris Alonso is the 2005 recipient of an education grant from the Association for Women in Science (AWIS). Also, Ms. Alonso received the Carl Storm Under-Represented Minority Fellowship Award from the Gordon Research Conference to attend the Cellulases and Celulosomes Conference in Andover, NH. Ms. Alonso is currently a Ph.D. candidate studying with Dr. Susan Leschine.
