:: Graduate Student Elected as Student Representative ::

January 2005: Almaris Alonso, a Microbiology Ph.D. candidate, was recently elected as a student representative for the Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) Board of Directors. Ms. Alonso is currently a graduate student with Susan Leschine in the Department of Microbiology.
