:: Graduate Student Receives Recognition
for Chlamydia Research Project ::

November 2008: Tawanna Childs, Microbiology Ph.D. student, has received Honorable Mention from the American Society of Microbiology's Robert D. Watkins Graduate Research Fellowship Program. Ms. Child's research project entitled, "Design of a Gas Vesicle-Based Display and Delivery System for Chlamydia," was one of four applications to receive Honorable Mention. The fellowship program is designed to support doctoral students from underrepresented groups in the microbiological sciences.
