:: Leschine Testifies Before Select Committee
on The Future of Biofuels ::

October 2007:  At the invitation of Representative Edward Markey (Massachusetts, 7th District), Susan Leschine, Professor of Microbiology, testified before the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming at a hearing titled, The Gas is Greener:  The Future of Biofuels, held in the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. October 24, 2007.

Dr. Leschine was nominated by Representative John Olver (Massachusetts, 1st District) for a panel discussion, Developing the Biofuels Industry, at a Congressional Summit, "New England Innovation:  Ideas for the Region's Energy Future," organized by the New England Council and attended by more than 200 policymakers, academics, and energy industry experts, including 16 members of the New England Congressional Delegation.  The event was held at the Suffolk University Law School in Boston, October 15, 2007.
