April 2008: In Governor Deval Patrick's Earth Day talk at MIT on April 22, 2008, Dr. Susan Leschine, Professor of Microbiology, was mentioned as a leader in green energy through her role as co-founder of SunEthanol, a company that uses microbes for ethanol production.
