My interests center around determining the role of the anaerobic microbial community in the dissolution of arsenic from arsenic containing minerals in subsurface environments. My research seeks to identify the redox state and abundance of relevant molecules related to arsenic dissolution, determine the biological processes which influence the bulk geochemistry, and identify the dominant community members that perform these reactions over time.
