Junior Fellows in the Life Sciences

About the Junior Fellowship Program:

Love research? Interested in exploring careers that involve research opportunities in the life sciences? Want to spend the year with like-minded undergraduate researchers? If you are a junior carrying out research in a lab, please apply to this year-long enrichment experience. The Junior Fellowship Program provides an invaluable opportunity for rising seniors majoring in the life sciences to enhance their research experience through professional development activities. Junior Fellows participate in a seminar style course during the spring of their junior year and fall of their senior year. At the end of the fall semester, Junior Fellows will showcase their research to the university community as part of the Life Sciences Graduate Research Symposium. Accepted students will enroll in a 1-credit course for Spring 2021 and Fall 2021, which runs on Tuesdays from 8:30-9:30 am.

Students eligible to apply to the Junior Fellows Program include life science majors in their Junior year. You must have a target graduation date of December 2021 or May 2022 to be eligible to apply. You must have already worked in a research laboratory for a minimum of 1 semester by the time you submit this application.
