This endowed scholarship awards $1000 to a Biology Junior (at time of application) who has demonstrated a strong passion for Life Sciences, especially in the context of lab or field based research. The award was made possible by a generous gift from Dr. Gregory K. Maravelas ('62, Zoology) a long time educator and strong supporter of the UMass Biology Department.
