105--Biology of Social Issues

Introduction to biological principles underlying current social problems. Designed to provide non-biology majors with the basic scientific knowledge that an informed citizen requires to develop thoughtful positions on sometimes controversial questions related to topics including medical ethics, environmental degradation, agriculture, biotechnology, conservation, and evolution.
