Diego Sanchez Rosa

Hi! My name is Diego Sanchez Rosa, I’m an undergraduate Biology student in the 2024 class at UMass Amherst. I began working in the Karlstrom lab in Fall 2022 after receiving a sponsorship from RichCo. I’m currently collaborating with Claire and Renee on various projects relating to larval zebrafish development, including an investigation on HxS (a type of PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals”) and its effects on cell proliferation in the exocrine pancreas and hypothalamus after an acute and long-term exposure. Outside of the lab, I compete in powerlifting and love learning about exercise physiology and sports nutrition!
