Two electrode shapes are utilized in our laboratory:

1. potassium electrodes consist of  a thin tapered tip front-filled with a 180um column of LIX
2. proton, calcium  and carbonate electrodes consist of a steep shank front-filled with a 15-25 um column of LIX
