Failing to Repair Syntelics Leads to Aneuploidy

In this case, the syntelic attachment (right side) fails to be corrected in a timely manner and both sister chromatids are pulled towards the same pole. This is a dangerous outcome since the resultant daughter cells will be aneuploid.
