February, 2008 - Thomas G. Lessie Distinguished Lectureship Award

Dr Michele Klingbeil was presented the Thomas G. Lessie Distinguished Lectureship Award by the graduate students at the Microbiology Retreat on February 2, 2008.

February, 2008 - Curtis B. Thorne “Carry On” Award
Nicholas Renzette was awarded the Curtis B. Thorne “Carry On” Award for his exceptional academic achievements including two publications in Molecular Microbiology.

September , 2007 - Funding from ASM to promote Microbiology
MGSG has recieved $620 from ASM for the following project: Microbiology: “A Diverse Field.”

The Microbiology Graduate Student Group welcomes Tawanna Childs, Jeniffer Concepcion, Emily Clark, Dorothy Iwanowicz, William Latouf, Kimberly Lay, Shawn Massoni, Catherine Morse, Supratim Mukherjee, Amber Orloff, Katir Patel, Ana Pereira, Benjamin Saunders, Zarath Summers and Mauricia Victor.

August 7, 2006 - A PhD Is Not Enough
A PhD Is Not Enough conference will be 9-19-06. More information will come later when registration is set-up. This is a great opportunity to learn from others experiences. There will be sections for both students in the beginning of their PhD studies, and those further along. There will also be lunch and dinner included, all for free.
